  Terminology used on this site

Although there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to talking about mental distress, we’ve found that people prefer the language of distress, recovery, survival and pride to that of diagnostic labels. However, many people have contributed to this site and, in doing so, have used their own terminology to talk about their experiences. We respect their right to do so.
